New V.P. of Development Appointed at Marketing Research Association

Glastonbury, CT – The Marketing Research Association (MRA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Ruth Freedman to its staff as the new V.P. of Development.

Ruth comes to MRA with a strong background of providing services for the marketing research industry. Before joining MRA, Ruth was Senior Account Director of Research Partnerships at Focus Vision for thirteen years. With her extensive background in networking she expects to reach out to MRA members to build relationships with the membership community and the profession.

“This is such an exciting time to be part of MRA because of all the new initiatives within the association and in the industry,” said Freedman, adding: “I’m looking forward to helping create buzz and excitement about all the changes going on.”

The announcement of Ruth joining MRA came at an awkward time as Director of Development, Lucy Haydu, was preparing to announce her resignation. Lucy has been a valuable asset to MRA for over three years. She has been instrumental in building MRA’s Research Industry Forum to its dominant presence in the market place.

“These past three years at MRA has proven to be a valuable experience for me,” says Haydu. “The decision to leave MRA was very difficult for me to make. I truly will miss the everyday interaction with the staff and the members.”
