Gain in-depth knowledge of the real benefits and shortcomings of online bulletin boards and real-time focus groups and how they compare to traditional methods. Be able to determine when online methodologies are best for a study and understand how they can create opportunities for research that otherwise would not be exist. Know what it takes to expertly design, recruit, and conduct online groups. |
Learner Outcomes: |
1. Learn when to consider and when not to consider using online bulletin boards and real-time focus groups.
2. Understand the comparative benefits and shortcomings of online bulletin boards, real-time chat groups, and in-person qualitative research.
3. Be exposed to numerous tips and case studies that educate and illustrate recruitment, administration, design, and implementation.
4. Whether a research buyer, provider, or facility, know by the end of the session if the online research arena is one you want to employ or get involved in.
