Reporting Relationship: Reports to Research Manager
Why the Job Exists?
To provide research support for assigned titles and/or TCM functions.
Key Responsibilities
1. To handle project implementation with suppliers, monitoring their performance (e.g. questionnaire development, field, tabulation, costs, quality, timeliness).
2. For research projects: to assist with research project and questionnaire design, implement fieldwork (with suppliers), and (with input from manager) analyze and develop reports/presentations.
3. To present key findings & insights for selected projects.
4. To issue reports, sometimes jointly with the manager.
5. To be a key client contact for research project implementation, follow-up questions and information requests.
6. To leverage existing research conducted for the title, along with broader Time Inc. knowledge and external information.
7. To support CRI departmental initiatives and processes, such as the CRI Completed Projects Summary & Database uploading, and Knowledge Sharing.
8. Participate in the Research Forum.
9. Undertake special projects as directed by manager.
Skills & Experience
Position requires solid research project management, including ability to handle many projects simultaneously; innovative and creative problem-solving ability; excellent analytical capabilities; strong verbal communication skills; good writing skills. Solid computer skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint are also needed.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team are a must. Also, individual should be motivated and a self-starter.
At least 2-3 years of research experience. Supplier experience is a plus. A four-year degree is required (Social Sciences or Marketing preferred, and including quantitative analysis courses).

Responsibilities:

Abilities/skills:
Must have outstanding attention to detail and time management skills, strong mathematical/statistical skills, excellent proof-reading skills, skills in secondary data gathering and analysis, data collection instrument development, data analysis and report writing, and good command of the English language. Must be able to work well with others (coworkers and clients), a team player, self-motivated, and able to work some evenings and/or weekends to meet tight project deadlines.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in related field. Course work in statistics and multi-variate techniques. Graduate degree in public health, communications, marketing or social and behavioral sciences is desirable. Masters or Ph.D. highly desirable.
Experience required:
2 � 5 years experience in survey research (quantitative); some focus group (qualitative) experience is desirable; public health and marketing/ communications research is highly desirable. � Experience in all phases of applied research project management including research design (qualitative and quantitative), vendor management, questionnaire construction and presentation/report development is preferred.
� Market research supplier experience is helpful.
� Must possess strong PC skills. Knowledge of statistical software (SPSS, SAS) is helpful. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to work in a fast paced environment with shifting deadlines and priorities.
� Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required. Must use sound, independent reasoning and judgment to establish work priorities, handle questions, and be flexible to respond to constantly changing priorities.
