Session Description: This interactive session will be a roundtable discussion among those who design, manage and analyze qualitative and quantitative research. Due to emerging technology or shifting client expectations, everyone is working differently than a few years ago. Discussions will feature topics such as how the environment has changed, and what we are doing differently to deliver insightful and actionable research. Attendees will discuss and learn from each other recent trends and shifts in client expectations, changes in the way we are designing, managing and analyzing the research we conduct, and how we are delivering more research for less.
Quantitative Issues within Facility Management

Session Description: In this interactive roundtable session, attendees will focus on how to implement a new hardware/software system from beginning to end. Various points will be discussed including developing a written plan, creating an installation plan, training issues, describing what life will be like a year after the system is installed, listing objectives to be accomplished by installing new software/hardware, and detailing selection criteria. Questions about tough issues will be discussed and debated such as; what new jobs come into existence as a result of the system being installed and what jobs will disappear? What are the skill requirements for the new positions and where will the people come from to fill them? What will you do with the people who don't fit into the new jobs? Terms such as leadership and success will be discussed and defined because the key to successful computing is not hardware, software or packaged programs, but people.

Session Description: This interactive roundtable session will feature breakout discussions that focus on managing a qualitative facility and staff. Discussions will center on how to keep up with the pace of client demands and expectations flexibility in order to be successful. This session will cover the basics and take an in-depth look at old and new methods of training and cross training supervisors, recruiters, qualitative assistants and audiovisual staff, maintaining and updating audio visual equipment to meet the standards and future facility technology services, meeting increasing client needs on decreasing budgets, client management and communications, food service management, multi-tasking, managing a facility calendar and project holds, adapting to the growth of ethnography research and how the traditional facility can play a part. The session will include tips on optimizing collaboration with local vendors to optimize budgets and timing. Incentive handling, cash, checks and new incentive techniques and their effectiveness and respondent rescreening standards, situation management and troubleshooting. Attendees will gain understanding on facility flexibility, managing changes or situations on a whim, handling facility setup basics and extremes and a smart qualitative staffing and supervision.
