Award Winners
Volunteers were honored for their significant contributions to MRA, and to the opinion and research profession, at a special awards luncheon held during the MRA Annual Conference, June 9-11, in Boston.

Jane Rosen, PRC of Nichols Research was awarded the highest distinction - the Honorary Lifetime Membership Award. Her volunteer accomplishments span over 30 years. They include co-founding the MRA Membership & Chapter Workgroup and serving on the MRA Board of Directors. She also served on the MRA 50th Anniversary Committee, spent hundreds of hours working on the MRA San Francisco conference, and served on and chaired numerous other committees and task forces. She was instrumental in the creation of many MRA resources, including training manuals and white papers, and was the recipient of the NorthWest Chapter Service Award and the 1999 Award of Excellence. |

Marisa Pope, PRC of Jackson Associates Research was the recipient of the Distinguished Service Award. She has devoted countless volunteer hours over the past 20 years. She is currently serving on the MRA Board of Directors as a Director-at-Large. She also held the Education Workgroup Chair position for two years. She received the 2005 Chapter Service Award for the Atlanta/Southeast Chapter and in 2006 received the MRA Shining Star Award. |

Alice Butler, PRC of M/A/R/C Research received the Award of Excellence, which recognizes excellence in service to MRA over the past year. Working tirelessly at the National and Chapter levels, Butler served as Chair of the National Program Committee, which encompassed overseeing the MRA First Outlook Conference 2009 and the MRA Annual Conference 2010. She also served as President Elect for the Southwest Chapter. |
Damon Jones, PRC of Burke Inc. received the Betsy J. Peterson Award. Given in recognition of MRA's first Executive Director, Betsy J. Peterson, this award was established to provide financial assistance for qualified individuals to enhance their education.
The Chapter of the Year award was presented to the Southwest Chapter of MRA. In addition, top volunteers from each of the 12 MRA chapters were recognized as follows:
