MRA's 2008 Fall Conference and RIF

Save The Date!

We are excited to announce that the SoCal Chapter of the MRA will be sponsoring it's first Hispanic Research Event, in San Diego on Thursday, October 23rd, at the Cafe Sevilla, which is located in the famous Gaslamp district. The evening is set to start at 6pm, with a cash bar (each attendee will receive 2 beverage tickets) & tapas until 7pm. Then there will be a buffet style dinner (salad, three different paellas, and dessert) from 7pm - 8pm, and a speaker tentatively from 7:45pm - 9pm. We will also provide some very informational handouts specific to the Hispanic market and some fun give-aways. Cost for the event will be $40 for members and $50 for non-members.

  • Entertainment Research Luncheon

    Message from the President-Elect, Irene Gustaitis
    The Southern California Chapter of the MRA is proud to have hosted our First Annual Entertainment Research Luncheon at the Magic Castle in Hollywood. The speakers, Disney*ABC Domestic Television and FOX Broadcasting, discussed the innovative ways in which their respective companies are leveraging research to make strategic decisions in entertainment content creation and marketing. In addition to an information-filled luncheon, guests were treated to a VIP tour of the world famous Magic Castle. Thank you to our Marquis Sponsor, The Nielsen Company, who made it possible for us to have this industry luncheon. We’ve received a tremendous amount of positive feedback from attendees and have also established incremental growth in our membership base as a direct result of this event! We hope to see this luncheon continue in the years to come as it serves both the MRA members in Southern California as well as our research colleagues in the media and entertainment industry.
