Buddy responsibilities are quite flexible*, they include:
- Contacting the new member/first time attendee(s) prior to the Conference
- Meeting with the new member/first time attendee(s) at a mutually agreed upon time and place
- Attend the New Member/First Time Attendee Reception
- Introduce the new member/first time attendee(s) to friends and colleagues
- Be a resource for the new member/first time attendee(s) during the Conference.
|
| *The degree of interaction beyond the basic responsibilities is entirely up to the Buddy and new member/first time attendee. |
| “I really enjoyed being a Buddy, as I know a lot of people and felt I was able to connect my buddy with some great contacts. I know my Buddy enjoyed the Conference and really appreciated me sticking with him and introducing him to so many people…he sent me a cookie bouquet after with a very nice thank you note. It was quite a surprise and a very nice gesture.” -Annual Conference 06 Buddy |
